Before becoming a therapist, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Portland State University. I worked as a behavioral therapist with families affected by disability for a number of years. During that time, I learned that families have an enormous impact on the functioning of individuals. I became eager to learn more about how relationships and context impact each of us and to learn tools to better help individuals and families improve their wellbeing.

I went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. I completed a 15 month long internship serving a range of clients from individuals to families and children. I spent time working in community mental health with individuals and families before starting a private practice. I have experience facilitating groups with both adults and children concerning a variety of mental health topics. I continue to educate myself on issues relevant to mental health and therapy through trainings and readings, as well as through supervision and consultation groups.

When I'm not at work, you'll find me outside as much as possible, in or near water, cooking, hiking, doing yoga, and spending time with my partner and our children.
